Hello!I hope everyone had a lovely holiday! It was nice to take a little time off and see my family. Holland (my older sister), had her adorable baby boy yesterday! Baby Collier is the new man in my life, weighing 7 pounds and 8 ounces. Congrats Holland!
On the business front- I am awaiting my Fall 2012 Samples. They are trickling in week by week, which is always exciting to me as I love seeing the final product. My inspiration for Fall 2012 is Paris + 1960's + a little inspiration from my Great Grandmother. More to come with Fall 2012 soon...
The main focus of this post= The Confetti Dress (above)
The print for this dress was executed by me and it all started with one of my little acrylic paintings. And when I say little, I mean a piece of paper that was 4 x 4 INCHES! So it's a baby painting that was changed on the computer and from there, repeats were created. This dress is one of my favorite's for the season.
The next thing that I personally love about this dress, is the sleeve changing option. I came up with a concept for this sleeve design that makes this a 2 in 1 dress. As you can see in the images above, the sleeve can be worn up in a tulip cap sleeve or worn down in a flutter flare sleeve. This feature makes this dress a must for every girls wardrobe! I just love a piece that can be transformed from day to night...who doesn't?
